Google Enhances Landing Pages Analytics
We’ve written previously on the many benefits of customized landing pages for online marketing campaigns. Search Engine Land reports that Google recently released an update to the Landing Pages Report in Google Analytics that allows us to more clearly see the true value of a landing page by linking individual pages to goals.
The old reports showed a limited number of metrics, including Entrances, Bounces, and Bounce Rates. The new and improved reports deliver a variety of useful metrics, including Pages per Visit, Average Time on Site, and Percentage of New Visits. Importantly, the reports can be sorted by specific goals and ecommerce, which provides a much fuller evaluation of landing page performance.
